Dirk /dɝk/

Dirk Strider /dɝk stɹaɪdɚ/

The first thing to go when ⌈Tautology⌋ is having a depressive episode is executive functionality. It takes more effort to get out of bed and eat than it does to lay in bed and sleep far longer than is healthy. At a certain point, though, the system's brain got fed up with this behavior.

Dirk formed in order to puppet the body into self-care. His first two fronts were dragging the body and system out of bed and to food in the late afternoon. It also spent a significant amount of time working on the backlog of chores that build up during these depressive episodes.

Dirk describes himself as a Brain Ghost Dirk, which is what gives him the ability to puppet the body into self-care. It and others describe its behavior as somewhat Ultimate-y, but because it's a Brain Ghost Dirk, it uses its power for the health of the body it shares with the rest of the system. He also sometimes uses his Heart power to pluck specific headmates into front; he's one of a handful of headmates that's able to tell when Roxy is nearby.

Otherwise, as a Phillip fragment, he has very low self-worth. He does not view himself as a person, let alone one deserving of friends or partners. As such, he fronts rarely when he doesn't have to, sometimes fronting only to make food and eat it while watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Dirk types following traditional capitalization and punctuation rules, like Rose, and speaks an octive or so lower than the body's regular speaking voice.
