Sollux /sɒlʌks/

Sollux Captor /sɒlʌks ˈkæptɚ/

⌈Tautology⌋ fictives stand out amongst fictives in plural systems, in that their formation is often a matter of analysis, interpretation, and transcription, rather than "printing" or "copying". It often means that ⌈Tautology⌋ fictives feel more distant from their exomemories, aside ones that map onto traumas the system has lived through. This can lead to ⌈Tautology⌋ fictives feeling like they're not close enough to their source selves for source friends and partners.

Sollux sharded off of Arcjec during one such episode. Arcjec felt like he wasn't "Arcjec enough" for a member of a partner system, which led to Sollux forming and having a breakdown. Sollux tends to bear the brunt of these feelings, through they've lessened over time overall.

Much like in its source, Sollux has two very different sets of moods. When they're not depressive, they're very social and sardonic. They'll lean more into verbally teasing friends and partners, showing its affection with playful ribbing. When in this state, Sollux is also somewhat more project-oriented, being the system's self-proclaimed "closest thing to a computer toucher".

This dichotomy extends far past mood. Sollux is both an alphy fragment and a Charra fragment. It's also both alive and dead, with one black eye and one white eye. Because of their mental state, they and others describe Sollux as "the Cameron Frye of trolls". It also has both no gender and all genders, wearing whatever it feels like, so long as it doesn't impede it sitting at the computer for hours on end.

When typing, Sollux replaces S with 2, doubles any instance of the letter I, and replaces any instance of "to" or "too" with "two". It speaks with a lisp.
