Arcjec /ɑɹkd͡ʒɛk/

In mid-February, along with a partner system, ⌈Tautology⌋ began reading Vast Error, which it had been interested in doing for some time. In the grand tradition of reading through the backlog of a MS Paint Adventure, ⌈Tautology⌋ and its partner system started voice acting their readthrough. The first new headmate ⌈Tautology⌋ got out of this was Arcjec.

Arcjec took a while to fully take shape. His pronouns were they/them for a while before solidifying into their canonical he/they. Initially, he was thought to be an alphy fragment, and Ellsee a Charra fragment, before they both realized they were the system's first &/Phillip pair.

Their role in the system was nigh-immediately apparent, however. Arcjec is a trauma alter, formed around memories of the system's social life collapsing multiple times and ending up alone. He's primarily very apathetic, feeling like friends and partners leaving is an inevitability, and that there's no point in trying to hold onto anyone. They also tend to feel like they don't deserve anyone doing anything for them, and they feel bad when someone does. While he has formed his own relationships, he still harbors a higher level of social paranoia than the rest of the system. Because of this, they were the first to discover that Phillip fragments are more susceptible to the system's persecutor.

They're apathetic in other ways, too. They tend to not do much, requiring more inertia to even play video games than other system members. He's also apathetic to eating, primarily eats junk food, gravitating especially towards 7-Eleven's nachos. Otherwise, their appetite is pretty small. He has slowly become more outgoing, though, thanks to relationships in partner systems.
