Vriska /vɹɪskə/

Vriska is ⌈Tautology⌋'s ninth member, something markedly humorous given her octal theming and Nine being the eighth member. Shortly after her introjection, she shouted down negative thoughts that clouded alphy and made it feel like it wasn't actually plural. Her introjection also helped the system get more used to cofronting and switching, as she was often near the front during her first few months. By the end of September, 2022, she formally took the role of the system's gatekeeper, given these and other protective actions. June eventually took this role upon her and her subsystem's introjection.

She started as the part of Charra that will protect those the system loves and cares about at any cost, a trait she shares with her source. She is also, due to the nature of Paradox Space, partially sourced from The Homestuck Epilogues. She is more reserved and reflective of her past actions than Charra or Kakyu, another Charra-based headmate. She carries the guilt of what she did to Terezi in their source, along with her actions towards other Alternian trolls from her Sgrub session. This led her to being, initially, socially withdrawn around other trolls.

For a long time, there were conflicting ideatic projections of Vriska. Sometimes she was tall, muscular, with one eye and a prosthetic arm. Other times, she was human scale, lanky, with both arms and eyes. It turned out that this dichotomy was due to Vriska harboring Risk until June and her subsystem were introjected.
