June, along with her headmates Dare and Risk, arrived in ⌈Tautology⌋ at the same time, after a few years of alphy thinking that its subsystem was the Light8reath stand-in. This led to a period where it felt it was being replaced, which made it harder to figure out what June and her subsystem's purpose was.
Their purpose, it turned out, was to act as a deterrent against alphy's persecutor. Due to her retcon ability, June has the ability to exist both inside and outside of the narrative. While ⌈Tautology⌋, by and large, is within the narrative as the system perceives it, the persecutor is outside of it. June stands as a direct threat while being someone who can also interact with reality as the system perceives it. This led her to replacing Vriska as the system's gatekeeper.
Much like Jade and her subsystem, June is an & fragment that has corresponding alphy and Charra fragments. She's the most common fronter among her subsystem, but it's easy for her to switch amongst her subsystem.
She speaks in a tone very similar to the body's natural speaking voice. Much like in source, her typing quirk is inherited from Vriska, with 8s replacing B and /eɪt/ sounds. She also types certain nouns in capital letters, which is most obvious when she's talking about her variety of interests.
