Jade /d͡ʒeɪd/

Jade, a fragment of &, is an eager, enthusiastic people person. She's eager to make friends and converse, and the system's social anxiety has a weaker effect on her. She did inherit her source's inherit loneliness, due to the system's upbringing, and this can eat at her and make her seek out connections that are her own.

She also inherited her secondary source's desire to protect someone close to her and keep them from disappearing, which is what led to her finally coalescing a week after alphy was directly threatened by its long-time persecutor. She took over as host for a month, giving it a break so it could recover and heal.

Initially, it was very easy for her to dig her heels in social situations, based on prior knowledge held by the system. She has since gotten better at listening and adapting. She is very excitable, eager to be social and outgoing. As such, it is very easy for her to feel lonely.

Initially, Jade tried very hard to keep her emotions at an even keel, not letter herself get too depressed or too angry. After a few months of suppression, however, Jadesprite and Silverbark split off from Jade.
