Previously thought to be a blend of alphy and Charra, & is the third facet of the Fionna subsystem. They originally manifested as a potential fictive, but quickly revealed their true nature.

Because of the median nature of the Fionna subsystem, and the emotional divisions between them, the theory that & was a mood-balanced blend of alphy and Charra held water for quite a long time. However, alphy first started to realize that & was a facet of its subsystem, and not a blend, when Cyan appeared, with her own level-headedness. This theory was quickly proven true after Jade appeared, who has access to a far fuller range of emotions than alphy, Charra, or & do. Ellsee eventually made herself known as a third & fragment, as a counterbalance to Arcjec.

& is the facet of Fionna that most often fronts when they're very excited about something, or are in an especially good mood and stable state of being. They're also the one facet of the subsystem that is most comfortable with the body's height; alphy is 16 inches shorter than the body, and Charra is 16 inches taller.
